Care for Caregivers (a Soothing Sunday event)

🫂 This event is for the caregivers in our community - health care professionals, teachers, and givers of all kinds.

Join Margaux, a registered nurse, yoga teacher, and reiki practitioner for an afternoon full of restorative community time. As a nurse who navigated through the pandemic, Margaux is acutely aware of the effects that burnout can have on those in caring roles. She believes that movement, energy work and community are all healing modalities that can recharge and recalibrate us back into a place of wholeness so that we can continue to serve those who need us the most.

Attendees will be guided through a 60 minute slow flow vinyasa focused on the Muladhara (root) chakra, where our sense of stability, survival and basic needs for our well being begin in the body. Reiki will be provided at the end of our physical practice, for those who wish to receive it during a nice long savasana.

This will be followed by quiet reflection where attendees will be encouraged to jot down any sensations or thoughts that may have come to the surface after our physical practice. Sharing is optional, but welcomed. Time together will end with a guided meditation so that you will walk away feeling restored, and grounded within yourself.

A small gift to keep up with your self care off the mat will be given to all those who attend.

All levels, and all types of givers are welcome- the intention of the space is to feel supported and held so that we can continue to pour into our communities from a full cup.
