Nghi Cao Tran
Physical & Pelvic Floor Therapist
Hi there! I’m Nghi Cao - a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I’m certified level 1 Dry Needling and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. I received both Bachelor of Exercise Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Simmons University.
I was born in Vietnam and moved to Boston to study Physical Therapy in 2017. In Vietnam, there is not much development in the physical therapy field. Therefore, I decided to study abroad in Boston for that field. I love working with people and physical therapy is one of the few fields that gives me the opportunities to work with people in a long-term relationship. After I graduate and work at an outpatient clinic, I can see a huge demand for a pelvic floor physical therapist, especially for women. Therefore, I decided to become a Certified Level I Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist. Also, in Vietnam and many other cultures, talking about pelvic floor as well as women's health is a stigma. Therefore, I became a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to break that stigma and promote health and wellness in women’s health.
In my practice, I use an evidence-based treatment approach in both hands-on techniques (soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, cupping, etc) and exercises to optimize my clients’ function. My practice emphasizes individualization and whole body approach as well as building trusting relationships with my clients. I always see my clients as my team and love getting to know them. :)
In my free time, I love binging silly romance drama shows, lifting weights at the gym, and dancing.
