Megan MacLean
Strength Coach,
Client & Inquiry Coordinator
Hi, I'm Megan! (she/her)
My path to personal training has been anything but linear. I started training at Soft Space in 2020, and at the time was working as a bartender and restaurant manager. Over the course of a 16 year career in hospitality, I dealt with debilitating chronic back pain and muscle spasms which often kept me from being able to walk, let alone do my job. Working with Hannah 1:1, and then eventually joining small group strength and mobility classes, allowed me to heal my relationship with my body in so many ways. Since then, I have fallen in love with movement and all of the ways that it makes me feel strong, connected, and alive.
I recently finished a master's degree in local food policy while concurrently pursuing my Personal Trainer certification. I am interested in combining the healing power of movement with community-focused work to rebuild our local food system in sustainable ways. I am honored to help empower people to feel stronger and more connected to their roots, both physically and emotionally. I have loved being a part of the Soft Space community for the past 6 years, particularly as a queer person in need of the supportive and connected environment that I have found here. I look forward to helping this community grow over the long term, and I'm just so happy to be here!
