A woman sitting at a wooden table with her arms crossed, smiling at the camera. She has long brown hair and is wearing a beige top. The background features a pink wall with a glowing yellow lamp, a small framed picture, and decorative items. To her right is a green banker’s lamp, and on the table in front of her is a closed notebook with an ornate cover.

Margaux Bertola

Mobility & Yoga Coach

Movement has always been my medicine. I am a nurse, yoga teacher and most importantly, fellow human. I have been practicing yoga for over a decade but really came into the subtle energetics of the practice when I decided to take the leap in 2021 and become certified to teach through Arrow Yoga, a Baltimore based studio.

As a nurse who navigated through the pandemic, I am no stranger to the effects of trauma and burnout on the body, heart and mind. I created my business, NuWellness, as a direct reaction to what was lacking in supporting me during this time. Yoga saved my life- in many ways. It has and continues to be what allows me to ground back into myself and process the world around me.

The teachers, mentors and students along the way, continue to show me how this ancient practice is intelligent and intuitive in helping us create balanced, whole lives. I believe that the body keeps the score, good and bad, and Yoga provides us the tools to be able to restore what may have broken down. I teach from embodied experience, on and off the mat, and always leave room for agency with those who have entrusted me to guide them.

My classes infuse my knowledge of anatomy and alignment, energetics, mindfulness and the therapeutic release found through a balance of stillness with movement.

I believe that individual wellness is intertwined with community wellness - in taking care of each other, we create collective well being, and in turn a more compassionate, resilient world.

I am deeply humbled to be able to share in this practice of coming home to yourself, together. See you on the mat <3
