Luis Yzusqui

Co-founder,
Massage Therapist,
Strength Coach

Born in Lima Peru, raised in Miami, building in Boston. I come from a hardworking immigrant family who emigrated to the states in 1996 looking for a better life.

I found fitness in my teens, and I owe so much to the strength rooms I grew up in. It gave me the resiliency and the experience I needed to navigate the world as a young man. To this day, the weight room is a place where I will always feel centered and my truest self.

I grew up as a musician as well. I started playing the trumpet and guitar at the age of 13.

There’s many parallels between music and strength training. Such as being in tune and being in rhythm with one’s self. But most importantly allowing yourself to be vulnerable in order to create great music, I believe that’s a skill that translates into teaching and being able to understand one’s body.

I moved to Boston as soon as I turned 20. During my time here I’ve worked with an array of people ranging from athletes to the general population, to anyone who’s looking to gain an edge both mentally and physically.

Within the past decade and a half, I’ve worked and managed at Mike’s Fitness JP where I developed my brand Loustrong. I’ve also worked at XPA Sports Performance training young high school/collegiate athletes, and as a strength coach at RX Strength Training. I became a Licensed Massage Therapist because I find it important to help people keep their bodies healthy and injury-free. I’m also a brown belt in Brazilian jiujitsu, in where I spend my evenings choking out my friends :)
